Our Op Shop is more than just a place to shop, it’s a hub of community care, connection, and practical support.

Located in Ritchie Hall, next to Bangalow Byron Bay Uniting Church on Carlyle Street, the Op Shop offers affordable second-hand clothing, household essentials, and unique finds, helping promote reuse and reduce waste.

The Op Shop also provides free clothing and essential items for people experiencing homelessness, hardship, or domestic violence, and partners with local support services to help meet community needs.

It’s a welcoming place where locals can browse, chat, and connect, made possible by a dedicated team of more than 20 volunteers who serve each week.

Where your support goes

Every purchase and donation through the Op Shop helps support the care, connection, and community programs of Bangalow Byron Bay Uniting Church.

This includes:

  • practical support for people experiencing hardship or vulnerability
  • safe and welcoming spaces for community groups and individuals
  • pastoral care and spiritual support for people of all ages
  • support for local disaster recovery chaplaincy
  • emergency clothing and essentials for people experiencing homelessness
  • community programs that foster belonging, wellbeing, and hope
